You will need:

-spa mask (I prefer the sheet masks, they are less messy than mud masks. Bonus points if it’s made in Korea, they know their sh*t when it comes to beauty products.)

-mini wine bottles (most liquor stores have several options sold in 4-packs)

-scented candle

-chocolates or candy

-crinkle paper

-decorative box

*If you want to make your own decorative box, you will need:

-regular cardboard box, preferably the right size to hold your spa gifts

-wrapping paper or kraft paper

-tape

-scissors

-box cutter

-ribbon, twine or other add ons to decorate your box

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxStart by cutting the flaps off of your box. Cut the box to your preferred height if necessary.

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxCut a piece of wrapping paper big enough to wrap over the edges and into the inside of your box.

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxCrease the paper at an angle off of one corner of the box.

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxFold the angled corner in towards the end of the box and tape it from the inside so it stays.

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxRepeat on all sides. Try to keep the paper as tight to the box as possible.

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxTrim as necessary and tape the edges of the paper to the inside of the box so they lay tight and flat.

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxTo decorate the outside of your box: take some ribbon or twine and wrap it around the top edge of the box several times. Tie a knot at the front of the box and leave some extra string at the ends. Trim any excess.

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxLoop a few extra pieces of ribbon or twine around the knotted twine, to hide the knot.

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxIf you’re using twine, untwist each piece of twine to make it look fuller. If you’re using ribbon, use scissors to curl the ends.

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxI used some accent string to give a bit of a color pop. Wrap the string around the base of the  twine knot and tie a knot to secure it in place.

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxI found some great cut out hearts at HomeGoods, so I used one of those to enhance the Valentine’s feel of the box.

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxTie the heart onto the tassel using the decorative string. Tie a knot under the heart so you can’t see it.

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxYour box is now ready to go!

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxArrange all of your gifts in the box except the candy/chocolate.

mkl michelleklare galentines valentines spa diy boxAdd the crinkle paper around each item so it helps it all to stay in place. Add your candy/chocolate on top of the crinkle paper. That’s it!

I was able to make the above box for under $15. If you’re making several, you’d be able to do a smaller version with one mini bottle of wine, one face mask, one candle and some chocolate for around $10. Happy Valentine’s/Galentine’s Day!
